Q- What is the royalty and what do
I receive for it? At Arthur
Treacher's and Pudgie's the royalty is 5% of gross sales. This
fee purchases continued use of the trade name, logo, business
identity, and much more. It assures you of the ongoing
corporate support you receive and finances the research and
development activities the franchiser does to grow the brand
and assist in customer marketing. Back to FAQ's
Q - What is the advertising
contribution? Your
advertising contribution is 3% and is pooled with the
contributions of other franchisees. The contribution is placed
in a marketing fund and is used to promote each brand in a
variety of ways including (possible) free-standing-inserts,
television, radio and direct mail. The offering circular
provides details as to how these funds are managed.
Q- Does Arthur Treacher's and
Pudgie's provide financing? We do not
provide financing directly. However, we have developed
relationships with third party lenders who can discuss
financing options with you. Back to FAQ's
Q- What type of experience do I
need? There is
no magic background. Some franchisees have retail experience,
sometimes specifically in food service. This can be helpful
but is not essential. The most important ingredient is the
desire and commitment to succeed, as well as the ability to
communicate and get along with people. Back to

Q- What about finding a store
location? We will
help you find a location. Our method is to develop a list of
available sites and then pick the best from this group. You
may also lease or purchase a location on your own. We do
recommend you have your lease or purchase agreement reviewed
by an attorney before signing. Back to FAQ's
Q- Who designs and builds the
store? We will
provide you with a set of criteria. You will choose and hire
an architect who will design the unit and advise you
concerning local codes and regulations. We will approve the
final plans. Our store opening team will work with you and
your architect to provide the right equipment package in the
kitchen. Back to

store operations team will guide you for the initial 7 days at
your new store to help make your opening smooth operation
grand opening as successful as possible. Back to FAQ's
